[ Abyssinian Primrose (Primula verticillata) | Posted on February 14, 2021 ]

As advertised, this primrose tolerates dry conditions better than most, blooming under grow-lights in a cool basement in mid-February about 11 months after it was sown. It had wilted several times due to my forgetting to water it, but that didn't seem to bother it much.

[ Petunia Ray™ Pistachio Cream | Posted on August 26, 2018 ]

The flowers on this petunia don't open quite as wide as petunia blooms generally do. They also seem to be a bit more sticky than most, and tend to capture bugs and bits of dirt on their surface. But the color is so unusual that I love them anyway!

[ Tobacco (Nicotiana 'Priscilla') | Posted on September 9, 2016 ]

This flowering tobacco has larger flowers than most, about 2 1/2 to 3 inches across. It reportedly also can grow to about 5 feet, though mine -- in partial shade -- reached only 3 feet during a dry summer.
