[ Rose (Rosa 'Lillian Gibson') | Posted on August 6, 2011 ]

For me Lillian is not salmon pink but rather clear pink that fades to white on the edges. Blossoms are very long lasting and it blooms for about a month. This rose is *very* cane hardy in rural Z5. It's a fast grower and needs LOTS of room. It does not sucker excessively and is disease resistant. No black spot or mildew for me.
Blood red canes add winter interest.
I love this very easy to grow and hardy rose and highly recommend it.

I LOVE this old Austin!!! Part Rugosa that will sometimes throw out some long thorny canes but what a unique fragrance! Someone described it as "Ponds Cold Cream."
Its a must have beauty if you can find it.

[ English Shrub Rose (Rosa 'Constance Spry') | Posted on November 1, 2010 ]

Utterly amazing huge, cabbage blossoms! Huge fountain shaped bush with flexible easy to train branches. A once bloomer but I would not be without this heavenly wonder! Amazing fragrance, cane hardy in Z5 and very easy to grow rose. Not fussy at all.

This variety and Sweet Autumn Clematis are the best Clematis I have ever grown in my no fuss garden. It blooms just about non stop throughout the growing season. VERY carefree and easy to grow!
