[ Hellebore (Helleborus x ballardiae Winter Magicâ„¢ Candy Love) | Posted on February 1, 2018 ]

Started a 3 day soak to loosen up the seed coat. I surely hope these grow.

[ Species Iris (Iris sibirica) | Posted on October 26, 2016 ]

I have a stand of Siberians that came with my house. Last fall I divided and replanted them. Initially it looked like I'd lost most of them, but they came back well and have filled in the section. They did not bloom this year, but I'm pleased with their progress.

I love the size and coloring of Scarlet Pimpernel and the fact that it polys on a fairly regular basis. I have not been able to set pods on it.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Sake Bomb') | Posted on September 3, 2016 ]

This is the first year I've had Sake Bomb. It is THE bomb! I love it and think it will be important in breeding for tet UF doubles. I was unable to set pods on it but the pollen was very fertile.

This plant has not shown good vigor but color was better than during the heat wave last year. I do really like the pattern. I'm not seeing the branching/bud count it's registered with.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Cake and Champagne') | Posted on August 1, 2016 ]

Med. spring growth. Bloomed but not a lot. I was glad to see it set pods.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Awesome Memories') | Posted on August 1, 2016 ]

2nd year with this plant and I continue to be impressed. It has strong vigor and bloomed well. I wish it were taller, but there is so much going for it that I'll let that pass. :)

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'A Fine Frenzy') | Posted on August 1, 2016 ]

I'm excited to see this will set pods. I'm blessed to continue the work Pat Cochenour has started.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Wishy Washy') | Posted on May 6, 2016 ]

This plant has great vigor. It multiplies well. The blooms are held on strong scapes, well above the foliage.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Color Frenzy') | Posted on April 29, 2016 ]

4/16 This plant is a behemoth whose foliage rises higher than any other daylily in my garden. I've had it for 18 months and the fans are HUGE! I'm very impressed with the vigor of this one.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Temple Truffle') | Posted on August 22, 2015 ]

I've had this plant twice and it died both times. It doesn't have good vigor.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Awesome Memories') | Posted on August 21, 2015 ]

I am impressed with this plant. I got it last fall. It bloomed well this year and set seeds. We have had severe heat this summer and this is one of only four plants I had out of several hundred that rebloomed.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Willow Dean Smith') | Posted on July 16, 2015 ]

I "discovered" this DL at a friend's garden and had to have it. The blooms are beautiful and the scapes are amazing. The plant habit looks to be strong as well. I'll be using it in my hybridizing program.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Dr Octopus') | Posted on May 31, 2015 ]

This is a tremendous breakthrough in the quest for UF doubles.
