[ Garden Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Alice Harding') | Posted on October 9, 2016 ]

Recently found out that this plant is not typically commercially available because it's a known carrier of Lemoine's disease. Alice Harding seems to be symptom free but root sap transferred to other peonies can be fatal to them. Please research this disease and make sure you're taking all precautions to prevent the spread of disease to any other peonies before putting it in your garden!

[ Japanese Tree Peony (Paeonia x suffruticosa 'Shima-nishiki') | Posted on December 18, 2015 ]

This tree peony typically starts out with solid color blooms but will produce striped blooms as the plant matures. There can be striped and solid colored flowers blooming on this plant at the same time!

[ Peony (Paeonia 'Blonde Vision') | Posted on June 12, 2015 ]

Blonde Vision is best grown in areas with no late frosts. Foliage and buds are easily damaged by cold. I use a very large, very heavy clay pot to protect the plant here in Colorado. It does a good job, but it is quite the task, covering and uncovering several times during spring.

[ Peony (Paeonia 'Nosegay') | Posted on May 23, 2015 ]

This is a very tough little peony! It started opening just before we had a very heavy snow storm this Mother's Day, followed by several nights of below-freezing temps. Most of the other varieties had some damage, but not Nosegay. I highly recommend this variety if you live in an area with late spring freezes.

[ Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Reine Hortense') | Posted on October 12, 2014 ]

American Peony Society considers this peony the same as President Taft.

[ Peony (Paeonia 'Lemonade Fringes') | Posted on October 13, 2013 ]

Was formerly called Fringed Lemonade.

[ Peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Raspberry Rumba') | Posted on August 9, 2013 ]

This peony has a very unusual and dramatic flower but the individual blooms are fairly small. Stands up well, no need to stake
