The blooms are fully opened early in the morning. The blooms are also flat and open at the very top of the scape.

Get Jiggy went dormant in my area...zone 8. I got it last spring from Marietta Gardens, and I hope it comes back and blooms this year.

I ordered MINERAL SPRINGS in July from Maryott's Gardens. The fans were huge and healthy, with large roots. I originally planted MS in a pot for a few weeks, but should have planted it directly in the ground. I think it would have bloomed sooner. It bloomed in late September. There were four buds. Two bloomed on the same day and the other two fell off. I don't know whether it was the change of weather. The temps dropped down to the sixties. MS is big and beautiful. It's planted in an area that gets about 6 hours of sun per day. I plan to reorder in the spring as it is sold out now.

The pictures that I posted to the database generated some questions because the colors were so different from those already posted. I contacted Bill Maryott and sent him the pictures, thinking it may have been mislabeled. Mine was more mauve than purple. After a couple of days of emails, he determined that it was indeed MINERAL SPRINGS for sure. He thinks the reds and blues in my camera may be off a bit. It is a beautiful flower and it opened without any hangups even with the heavy ruffling.

I received BRIGHT IN THE NIGHT in July from Maryott's Garden. The fans were big and healthy. It bloomed in late September. The bloom is huge and heavy and at least 6 inches...maybe bigger. I had to stake it before photographing. The colors are beautiful and eye catching. I loved it so much that I plan to reorder in the spring.
