[ Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) | Posted on September 1, 2023 ]

I also have a love-hate relationship with Tansy. Growing for over 25 years, it now appears in a front garden where it was never planted. Probably on my garden shoes. Tried to cut it out with no luck. Learning to like it.

[ Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) | Posted on August 19, 2023 ]

I wish someone had warned me about planting this very thorny invasive tree. (Nursery where I bought it?)
So hard to get rid of. Roots so easily from the many seedpods Don't ever plant it.

[ Pyracantha angustifolia Yukon BelleĀ® | Posted on August 17, 2023 ]

I have this beautiful shrub planted in full sun in our 4B zone for over 20 years. It is very happy and very thorny. Still attracts a lot of attention.

[ Common Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) | Posted on January 18, 2022 ]

Planted Thymus vulgaris over 30 years ago among the front house garden walkway stones. It now appears in every front garden flower bed, including container tubs as well as throughout our front and back lawn. Fortunately I like the summer small blooms throughout the lawn. It is difficult though to get it out of the flower beds because of the dense roots. it is now strangling the peonies.
Take caution where this is planted.

[ Rose (Rosa 'Demokracie') | Posted on January 9, 2022 ]

Hello The Rosa Blaze I am trying to add is a climbing rose that grew at my old house for 20 years. the Rosa Blaze listed here I think is a Bush? is it also a climber??

[ Pink Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis 'Rosea') | Posted on October 10, 2021 ]

The pink Convallaria just appeared in my Toronto Ontario zone 6 garden one year on its own. Only the white Convallaria had been planted. A nice surprise. Wish I had marketed it then.

[ Black Cohosh (Actaea racemosa) | Posted on October 9, 2021 ]

Planted Cimicifuga racemosa and Cimicifuga racemosa 'Atropurpurea' in a sunny spot and they did really well. Surprised me when I discovered they were shade loving.
