You can cut the top off a store purchased pineapple with maybe an inch of the fruit attached to the top, let it set for a couple of days, and then plant in moist soil. It will root and grow and produce another pineapple fruit.

The fruit of this plant is truly a miracle. The small red fruit when bitten and moved around in your mouth is not the miracle, but after you move it around, you can bite into the most bitter lemon and it will taste sweet. In fact anything eaten after the miracle fruit tastes sweet. The berry is a source of a herb that increases the perceived sweetness of foods.

A 2007 Thai introduction produces large clusters of 2 to 3" red to purple-red and yellow flowers. The petals are overlapping, round, golden-yellow with red to purple-red area along edge and red veining spreading from the base. The flower buds are a dark red with the petioles dark red to almost black. The fragrance is a medium sweet honey with a hint of wild strawberry. This is a most unusual Plumeria with an interesting and stunning color combination. Has large medium dark oblong leaves.

A Thai Cultivar. The name means "Pink Forest" in the Thai language. Chompoo Paan has beautiful 3.5-4 " flowers that are an enticing blend of pink, yellow and white with small, dark. golden-red eye. The colors almost seem to have a swirl effect on the petals. Has a strong, floral- sweet, and pleasant perfume. Has medium Leaves: medium green, elliptical with pointed tip.

Very Slow grower. The Kentia palm or Thatch palm (Howea forsteriana) is endemic to Lord Howe Island. It is also widely grown on Norfolk Island. Its "fronds" or leaves grow up to 3 metres long.
The species is considered vulnerable by the World Conservation Union. It is cultivated on Lord Howe Island by collecting wild seeds and germinating them for export worldwide as an ornamental garden or house plant. The trade in the seeds and seedlings is tightly regulated.
The palm is an elegant plant, and is popular for growing indoors, requiring little light.

This multi-trunked palm originates from Australia. The leaves are dark green and are about 4-5 feet long. They are common in the tropics as they prefer warm humid weather. Grows only to 10 to 12 feet.

Puakenikeni blossoms in varying stages of flowering to fruit. So named 10 penny flower from when Puakenikeni leis were 10 cents... a long long time ago in old Honolulu town.
Puakenikeni is one of Hawaii’s most fragrant flowers and is often used for flower lei worn by both men and women.
