[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Silver Butterfly') | Posted on July 22, 2019 ]

This daylily's color varies from pale yellow to white. The blooms seem to look whiter on cloudy days or in the evenings. Maybe when the sun shines on the blooms, they seem more yellow.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Nacogdoches Pansy') | Posted on August 21, 2015 ]

I received this plant from the hybridizer, Jean Barnhart, back in the mid 90's. We were both members of the Nacogdoches Daylily club. This is the 4th garden I have grown it in and it has always been a vigorous grower and prolific bloomer. I know it does well in Nacogdoches, Austin and Houston. I do not have a lot of daylilies, but I highly recommend it as a good perennial bed plant.

[ Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Luminosity') | Posted on August 13, 2015 ]

I grew this iris in Austin, TX (zone 8 b) for about 15 years. It multiplied vigorously and rebloomed every year. It usually first bloomed throughout April and May and then started reblooming again in late October and November. I only brought one plant with me to Houston because I don't know how well it will tolerate the higher humidity and rainfall. I will post a report about that, in the future.
