This one starts early and goes gangbusters for a long time. Almost always has multiple blooms open at the same time and is a good increaser. It is pod and pollen fertile as well. My only complaint is the blooms are often splotchy due to the buds starting to open a day ahead. Any rain or heavy dew makes splotches. It is still a fantastic plant and wonderful in the garden. Just hard to get a great perfect photo.

A wonderful plant. A prolific bloomer with lovely tall scapes. The flowers give a lovely effect of movement in the garden. Pod and pollen fertile. I have many tall red spider/uf types and this one is a favorite. Highly recommend it.

A fabulous daylily! Color is heavily saturated. Photos do not do it justice. I love this plant. Also pod fertile. I have not tried to use its pollen, so cannot speak to pollen fertility.

Love this plant! The color is intense and it doubles consistently in my central MD garden. It is also pod fertile for me.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Autumn Jewels') | Posted on May 13, 2013 ]

Blooms late July into to August in my Central MD garden.

Pollen and Pod Fertile, also a very good increaser. Looks lovely with blue verbena and shasta daisy companion plants too.

A lovely flower, but not as sunfast as I had hoped. Tends to run more on the burgundy side than the purple side for me.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis Ruby Stella ) | Posted on April 21, 2013 ]

Reblooms here in zone 6, but not as prolific a bloomer or increaser as Stella de Oro. There are much better registered daylilies than this, such as Siloam Red Ruby or Siloam Jim Cooper that perform better here. Ruby Stella Is leaving my garden this year.

It easily sets pods in my Md garden & is a really vigorous grower. Love it!

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Africa') | Posted on January 2, 2012 ]

Easily set pods in my zone 6 garden, also very fertile pollen.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Lady Neva') | Posted on October 31, 2011 ]

This plant is registered as an Early- midseason bloomer, however it blooms mid-late for me in my zone 6 garden. I have set pods on this but have not tried pollen. I have never seen it rebloom for me.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Lillian's Woman's Touch') | Posted on October 5, 2011 ]

One of my favorite daylilies!! The green throat is outstanding. It is pod and pollen fertile for me.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Johnny Cash') | Posted on October 4, 2011 ]

I had this plant for 3 years with zero bloom, I moved it into a better spot with more sun and Wham! Multiple blooms and increase. Well worth the wait and also pod and pollen fertile.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Black Ruffles') | Posted on October 3, 2011 ]

One on the darkest I grow. It has a deeper eye band and a lovely golden throat. I have set pods on this one, but have not used the pollen yet. It does go summer dormant if conditions become too dry. A lovely older cultivar that is near impossible to find. The nursery I got it from is no longer in business.

Pollen is good for me in zone 6, I have yet to get a pod from it, but will keep trying. Fabulous intense color on this one and it blooms end of July into August for me in MD.
edited 7/30/12 It will set pods here in Md.

Easy, easy pollen, have not tried pods yet, since it was new this year. A top notch plant with a long bloom period. A+

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Sergeant Major') | Posted on September 12, 2011 ]

I have used the pollen easily on this one, but I'm unable to set pods. This is one of my favorites!
