[ Elephant's Ear (Colocasia esculenta 'Mojito') | Posted on March 27, 2013 ]

Mojito overwinters in the ground here in z7. My picture is of a plant that is in the pond. In the winter I pull it out of the pond and keep it in the greenhouse.

[ Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Greywoods Toothache Purple') | Posted on March 26, 2013 ]

This daylily is one of the last to bloom for the z7 climate in SW Tennessee. It is warm by then, so the color is a little more washed out than some of the pictures here. It is slow to increase and a little stingy with blooms. It was bred as a northern daylily, so it may be too hot down here.

Slow to get started but completely beautiful once it gets going

[ Japanese Iris (Iris ensata 'Frilled Enchantment') | Posted on March 5, 2013 ]

This iris blooms early and long . Very showy, a real stand out in the garden.
