Blue/purple bloom with darker purple and with white splotches at base of petals. Blooms for 2 weeks, with individual flowers lasting only a day, opening in the morning and closing in late afternoon.

I have had these for several years now and they self-sow every year. They can get invasive, but they are easily pulled up. The white lacecap blooms are lovely and are the first to bloom here. They have ferny green leaves, which look great against the white blooms. Wonderful addition to cottage gardens and bouquets.

Self-sowed freely and grew through our mild winters, resulting in large clumps.

The colors are so intense; coming back every year. Very easy to grow!

Lovely dark purple color

Lovely blue blooms and so unique. This was grown from a rooted cutting (May, 2012); first blooms this spring April 2013.

Bought this in the fall; the bloom color is so pretty.

The blue and brown against the white is so lovely.

These are so hardy; lovely red with dark leaves that stand out in the garden.
