[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Rozovyi Izumnyi') | Posted on August 12, 2020 ]

This tomato is really pink as its Russian name suggests.
Rózovyj (розовый), also transliterated as rozovyi, rozovyj, rozovyĭ or rozovyy, means pink in Russian.
It is also juicy and delicious. A wonderful eating tomato.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Lemon Drop') | Posted on July 31, 2020 ]

The name Lemon Drop denotes its color rather than its flavor because when ripened, it does not have any hint of tartness. Small, sweet and tender, this is a sweetheart of a tomato.

[ Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Babushka Byka') | Posted on July 28, 2020 ]

Its Russian name Бабушка Быка/Babushka Byka means "Grandma of a bull."

This beautiful striped tomato is a Russian heirloom variety that I received from a friend who is from Ukraine. Each plant does not produce a lot of fruits, but each tomato is humongous, meaty, juicy, rich in flavor and most delicious. It is the largest tomato I have ever grown.
