Caption: Hacking our woody plants without our consent has continued since my 8/15/14 blog, so it seems we have a vandal. He has chopped out holes in this tree's lace, sometimes a "poodle" effect, where a branch is stripped of leaves, leaving a tuft at its tip. T

Caption: Bloomed sparsely under pines, but its wafting fragrance is treasured; vandals removed concrete piling from one upright, but we hope to save it for summer shade, now that the pines are gone.

Caption: Usually, Christmas Roses bloom from March on, but during January-May 2015, they bloomed constantly. At this time, they are being dug & removed by a vandal. Since it's 7 years from seed to bloom, this is quite a heartache.

Caption: In past years, this anemone has bloomed profusely against a deer barrier beginning from the porch steps. This summer, a vandal has dug them away from the barricade, leaving ragged remants to crowd the path and expose mortar being chipped away from stones
