Caption: Purchased at auction at club meeting spring 2023 from the Fowlers. Gorgeous, hearty plant that has spent several months in pot waiting for bed placement. This bloom is hearty and striking in a way that the image does not quite capture.

Caption: This year's blooms are less "purple" than last year's, and like most of my plants affected by our Christmastime deep freeze, the scapes are short. However, the beautiful double ruffles and the sneaky little glowing yellow throat do not disappoint!

Caption: First bloom of the year. We had a brutal cold snap at Christmastime and unseasonably cool weather through early May. Most of my daylilies have short scapes. This scape is about 6" which is significantly under the norm.
