HVH: "'Pride of Hankins' is a very old hibiscus hybrid that is most frequently used as grafting stock by hibiscus aficionados. But what many people don't realize is that the flower is very pretty. It is a mini 2-4" ruffly double in a dark fuchsia pink. Like other growers, we grow it for root stock and have never sold it before. But popular request has prevailed, and we offer it for sale now in 2012. 'Pride of Hankins' grows very tall very rapidly, keeping a more tall and slender growth habit."
