Bonica is supposed to be disease-free, not needing spraying, but that has not been so in my garden. It comes down with black spot if I don't spray it with the systemic fungicide when I do all the rest of my roses. The masses of pink flowers are most showy in the spring display, but it does bloom off and on the rest of the summer and fall here in my garden.

This rose is a fantastic performer here in my zone 5b garden. It laughs at the cold...I don't winterize it...and sucks up the dry summer heat. It always seems to be in bloom with masses of shell pink flowers. Extremely disease resistant.

This is a fantastic performer in Zone 7A. Would not want to be without it. Blooms profusely in Spring, then again in the Fall. A lovely scent. Just a great rose. I planted 3 bushes together here to get this effect. Have never had a bug problem with it. Photo taken in Massachusetts.
