Persicaria Dimity is an excellent low-growing ground cover. It only grows to about 6 inches tall, but forms a dense covering that doesn't allow a lot of weeds. The flower spikes emerge bright pink and then fade to pale pink - white over time. New flowers will continue to emerge over the summer into fall, making it appear that the plant has three different flower colours. The leaves turn an attractive red colour in the fall. It will grow in full sun to part shade, but it prefers a moist soil. It has a spreading habit and can be a little aggressive, but is easily pulled out of unwanted areas. It will root quickly, so it is easy to divide. It is a very low-care and attractive perennial.
