This is a very long, smooth, deep red beet. The quality, germination, and flavor are very good. These should be eaten when they are young and tender because they are not a keeper type. Also called Butter Slicer. Danish heirloom.

Cylindra and its look a like Formanova date from the late 50's early 60's and are vigorous growers. While productive and visually appealing, I am not impressed by the taste.
