    Initially patented in Australia, and then in the USA, PP7,030 (1989) as Philodendron Selloum 'Winterbourn' and given the trade name Xanadu™. This Philodendron was discovered to have been in cultivation significantly longer than initially believed.

    The plant was described as Pholodendron xanadu in Aroideana, Journal of the International Aroid Society, Inc., Volume 25, Number 1 (2002);
    A new species of Brazilian Philodendron subgenus Meconostigma (Araceae), By Thomas B. Croat, S. J. Mayo and Julius O. Boos

    I thought the foliage on this Philodendron was interesting when I purchased it in October 2007, and I really love it now that it's matured. An easy Philo in my opinion.
