As much as DH and I love Broccoli, we love Cauliflower too!

'Snow Crown' sounds like the best choice for growing. I've never grown Cauliflower before, but covering the heads sounds like it would be hard to grow. I wouldn't know what to cover the heads with, when to put it on, when to take it off and how to secure the covering in a container, because that's how I'd be growing it in my yard.

Maybe I'll have to inform myself how to grow Cauliflower first!

I have been growing broccoli for years, so I figured: How different can cauliflower be? I saw seedlings of Snow Crown at a local nursery and bought them, but I must have planted too late because my cauliflower turned brown and hard. I pulled the plants and have not tried cauliflower again. Perhaps early next spring I can do better.

This is an AAA winner. It is very early (50 days) allowing those of us in the south to get the crop in before hot weather.Nice 6 -7 inch heads with uniform harvest and size. Much easier to get attractive heads than with OP Snowballs. Heads must be covered to avoid browning and greening.

The ones I planted outside are fighting leaf miners and unexpected heat. The ones I planted in the aquaponics system are going great guns.

Seedlings moved from nursery flat into containers throughout the week from 8/26 to today. Doing well despite unseasonably warm weather.
