I grew Phygelius 'New Sensation' one year. It's a beauty and worth growing, but make sure the soil is well drained. I thought it was where I planted it, but it didn't grow to its full potential, because the soil wasn't well drained. The photo that shows the entire plant is all it was for the season I grew it.

Next time I'm going to plant it into a container where I know it will be well drained. I'm also going to plant it into at least a 16" or more container, then I know it will do well.

For me in Northern KY, I'll have to get the plant through mail order, as I don't ever see it around here except for that one year I grew it.
