    Powder blue Echeveria with glaucous pink flowers in an unbranched shepherd's crook. Solitary, about 3-4 inches wide, with pointed leaves. Frequently misidentified in cultivation.

    The former species subsessilis, with more rounded leaf tips (still with a point), was lumped with peacockii. It was distributed as ISI 1200 in 1980.

    From Puebla, Mexico, where it is generally found growing in the shade of rocks.

    This Echeveria is listed by the CoL and the database under an apparently illegitimate name. The species name peacockii had already been used to describe a different plant (now a Dudleya) when it was applied to this one in 1875. If that is true, the name for this species should be Echeveria desmetiana. More info here:
