This beautiful and unique salvia was discovered by David Steinbrunner of Hunt, Texas in 2001. It was a sport growing on a red flowered greggii salvia. He took cuttings of the sport, grew them and he discovered that they stayed true to the exact coloring.

It has been available for purchase by various sellers over the years. David Steinbrunner named it after his wife, Teresa.
