    Open bush habit allows an easier harvest of this traditional dark green zucchini. Mellow flavor. The blossoms can be batter fried.

    A 1957 black-green, open pollinated zucchini from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, Storrs, Connecticut. Very dark green cylindrical type that has a high gloss at edible stage. Vine is vigorous and productive. Competitive with similar OP types like Fordhook.
