    'Southern gentleman is the most common male cultivar planted around. Its leaves are shorter and more rounded in shape. It is good to pollinate : 'Cacapon,' 'Shaver,' 'Sparleberry,' 'Sunset,' 'Winter Red' and 'Winter Gold.' It is cold hardy to Zone 3.
