I believe that this 'Bloodgood' cultivar is the most common cultivar used in the northern US and is also the most commonly planted London Planetree of all in the US. It is a little bit more resistant to the Anthracnose fungus disease than the mother species of the London Planetree that suffers some from the disease. The American Sycamore is hit hard by the anthracnose fungus that kills young leaves and twigs after the wet, cool weather that most springs manifest, though it recovers when the weather becomes warm, showing some witch's-broom growth. The London Planetrees can still be hit by some leaf spot disease, mildew, and sycamore lacebug. Furthermore, I ran into other information that his tree's cold hardiness zones are USDA Zone 4b or 5a and down to 8b or 9b. It would be good for someone from Wisconsin and another person from Florida, best working in plant nurseries, to confirm this.
