This plant is not very hardy in my zone 5 garden. It has little increase and few blooms most years. I've shared a couple fans with a grower further south and she had the same experience.

It seems to like the new location I moved it to better, so I would recommend a southern exposure with full sun and amending the soil.

    Update for 2015:

You'll have to be very patient with "Pitter Patter" ..... It can take several years to settle in and multiply. Plant it in a prime location and just leave it be ... it's a mistake to think maybe it would do better in a different location, it does not like to be moved. (I still recommend full sun)

Once it's a decent size clump, it does have a nice well branched scape and the blooms are high above the foliage. Very pod fertile, but I haven't seen any "spots" on the kids, so I have given up. The amount of spots is variable, but it is cute and very unique.

I see it has one "kid" .... and it's 48", no spots, but it would be interesting to cross it back with "Pitter Patter". hmmmmmmm ......
