Kaleidoscope is one of the roses gardeners often describe as "highly entertaining" because the rose bush can be covered by blooms of many different colors. The mauve buds usually open as pink and mauve blooms, sometimes with subtle gold stripes. The pink and mauve gradually change to shades of peach and gold and finally fade to a russet tan. It is not a tall shrub, but judicious pruning produces clusters with medium-long stems, making this rose with its unique colors and pleasant fragrance a staple of the cut flower industry.
