    Description from the International Camellia Register:
    "The colour is madder red to coppery bronze. Semidouble to loose peony form with golden stamens intermixed. Flowers mid-season. Foliage large and wide, a glossy green. Growth slow, spreading. Originated at Magnolia Gardens, John's Island, South Carolina, USA."
