Large melon with excellent flavor. Delicate, though, and prone to sunburn and cracking. Crenshaws are unique melons. This one averages about 10 lbs, produces well and is delicious. The melon is dark green, turning yellowish green when ripe. Softer shell than a honeydew so critters can be a problem ( box turtles, slugs, pickleworms etc). Takes about 3 months but is not as sensitive to cool temps as a honeydew.
