I've grown at least 7 different Kniphofias before at different times and the best one and my favorite is 'Alcazar'!

It blooms a lot more during the growing season here in Kentucky than the other varieties I've grown and just keeps putting out stalks and buds! I've had it for at least 5 years and it doesn't get to be large in width as some Kniphofias do.

The flowers are beautiful and I try and keep each flower deadhead every year so that it keeps producing buds and blooms.

The hummingbirds love it, of course too! Sometimes I'll see one flying up to a bloom and getting nectar from it and sometimes I'll see a Hummer sitting on one of the blooms.

'Alcazar' is a joy to grow and see!

As of spring 2020, it is still blooming strong and beautiful!
