Mammillaria subspecies from southern Baja California. Found east of La Paz. Offsetting habit, 4-7 needle-like central spines, cream to pale yellow flowers. This plant, formerly a species, looks different from the other subspecies in its clumping habit, spination, and flower color. It has an earlier flowering season than the type and is rare in cultivation.
