"Salvia chamelaeagnea is a perennial shrubby salvia from the western coastline of the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, typically growing in sandy soil in streambeds, open fields, and roadsides. It can grow up to 6 feet high and 4 feet wide, with .75 inch light violet-blue flowers with a pale lower lip and a white throat. The leaves are small, egg-shaped, and mid-green, releasing a slight medicinal odor when brushed."
