Rose or pink rosette succulent with extra chunky, glaucous leaves. Rosettes reach up to about 4-6 inches wide and stems may grow to a foot or more in advanced age. Quite variable in terms of flower size and shape. Flowers are whitish yellow with red highlights. This plant can be easily propagated from leaves. Despite the relatively small width of the rosettes, this plant grows a fairly extensive root system, and may enjoy a 3 gallon pot (or larger) once it becomes multiheaded.

From Durango, Jalisco and Sinaloa, Mexico. This species is a parent of the popular xGraptoveria "Opalina" and "Debbi" (as well as several other attractive hybrids).
