Very attractive in winter. Best as a free standing shrub, but has served me well as a foundation planting. Mockingbirds love the berries and nest in the shrubs. As a foundation planting it does require yearly pruning to keep it under control. Local florists love to get strands of berries for Christmas arrangements. Trouble free. It is quite thorny and forms a dense barrier to humans and large animals.
