About 60 days to maturity. These beets are round and smooth and have a bright scarlet-red color. The medium-sized roots are usually tender and sweet, and this variety is good for eating fresh or for canning. Direct-sow the seeds in fall or as soon as soil can be worked in spring. They like soil that is loose, rich, and well-drained.

Performs well. Not my favorite as it becomes woody quicker than other varieties that I grow. It is dependable, Just don't leave it too long in the ground.
