I just discovered this lower growing Fan-Flower species having been planted in a border of annual flowers at a golf course in southeast Pennsylvania. The species is native to Australia. It must be the cultivar of 'White Carpet.' I was surprised at how it was a low groundcover. There are some other lower Fan-Flowers used for annuals as the Fairy Series" that grows about 6 to 10 inches high. The Whirlwind Series is more the average height for the Fan-Flowers used in the nursery trade of about 8 to 14 inches. and are often used as trailing plants in containers. It likes full sun and moist soil that dries out between waterings. It is tolerant of heat and humidity.
