This wonderful mint can be used as a seasoning for meats, desserts, beverages, and sauces. Harvest leaves when plants are in bloom.
It also makes a wonderful tea. It is said to bring on menstruation so should not be used by pregnant women.

Mountain Mint is also a natural insect repellent. I have it growing on the deck by my chair and never seem to have mosquitoes there. You can also make a repellent spray by mixing the mint's essential oil with vodka.
