    This is native to Crete so requires a location where it will not get too wet. I had it in free draining soil near my south wall, it did well for two years and increased nicely but the last two hard winters seem to have killed it. Being a member of the onion family it is possible the onion fly had something to do with it's demise, I know I have those!
