I have the Corydalis lutea, which is the yellow form of this plant. It's in a very dry shady corner and survives quite well my zone 5 winters. When I bought it, I bought it as a little plug in 2011, in 2012 it was about a foot across & spreading. Not very generous with flowers, but apparently needs a lot more water than I've given it. I've treated it very xerically.
