This hybrid tea with its lovely blooms, coral with subtle yellow stripes, is not a good candidate for growing on its own roots. It's supposed to be about 3-4 feet tall, but mine is still only about 8 inches tall after 6 years in the ground. Furthermore, this is the third Anvil Sparks I've grown. The other two, also own-root roses, died in the first year I had them. The blooms are so pretty that it was hard to resist giving the rose a second chance, and then a third one, but it won't get a fourth chance in my garden unless I find a grafted one.
