Survived Zone 5, beautiful!

Paradise is a wonderful rose that tolerates high heat, partial drought, cold tolerant, and, most importantly, dumb people. I've had this rose now for 2 years (planted '09) from Home Depot and it has done admirably considering how horrible I take care of my roses. I rarely feed, I water twice a week in extreme drought, and it keeps on plugging along.

Starts out pink-edged lavender, ages to almost a hot-pink. No scent. Mine's about 2' tall, tall form but not leggy. I cannot advise about black spot/fungus/mold/mildew as I'm in an extremely dry climate. This plant is mulched 4" thick and the bud union is buried about 3" below the ground, so is well protected from cold. I have had this rose buried 100% in snow with no adverse reactions. Does not show much "winterkill". Loves to be pruned and will reward with lots of new blooms. New growth is the traditional bright red that fades to the leathery-green color.
