This rose varies a great deal in my garden. One wet spring the bloom was fantastic....Show quality. Most of the time, though, it isn't that exciting...kind of "Plain Jane.' I've been going to dig it up and discard it, but every time one thing stops me...the fragrance. It smells the way a rose should smell and I can often detect the fragrance a few feet away. Wonderful, but not overwhelming. Fragrance alone earns its place in my garden.
