    Noted by Antique Rose Emporium:
"A latter-day example of its class, ‘Variegata di Bologna’ was popular for its unusual coloring: white blooms streaked, splashed and flecked with pale purple very similar to peppermint candy. The very round flowers, 3 to 4 inches across, appear in clusters. ‘Variegata di Bologna’ blooms heavily in spring and rarely at other times. Like most Bourbons, it has a strong fragrance. Its neat, narrow leaves decorate a well-foliaged bush."
