The attempt to grow a flourishing 'Bengal Tiger' has been a disappointing experience for me. I've tried to grow it twice, and although Chamblee's Nursery claims that it grows 3-4 feet tall and 3 feet wide, my two plants have looked more like mini-floras and have been almost overwhelmed by surrounding plants. They have rarely bloomed and the foliage has almost always been marred by black spot.

The sale of this rose helps to finance the Save the Tiger Fund, established to bolster the dwindling population of wild tigers in Asia. I can't help thinking the tigers deserve a more viable rose.
