This wonderful floribunda is described in many databases as an orange rose, but it's actually one of the russet roses, an entertaining blend of brick red, tan, and smoky orange. The colors change as the bloom matures and ages, but they are always exciting. The blooms are more heat resistant than the average in my garden. The rose also appears to have above-average drought resistance. I have two, and both are in areas where my watering schedule leaves much to be desired. In spite of this, Laura Bush is thriving in both spots.
