    'Fl. 90 mm wide; perianth segments very broad in outline, rounded or squarish at apex, only very slightly mucronate, creamy yellow, spreading, loosely creased, of great substance, overlapping half; the inner segments roundish, slightly truncate, inflexed; corona shallow bowl-shaped, ribbed, bright yellow, with a broad band of orange at rim, mouth deeply split in places and overlapping, expanded, frilled.'
