I am the daughter of Maurice Valois, who was the hybridiser of this narcissus. We have kept the bulbs going in my mother's garden (it was named after her!), and since her death my husband has kept it going in our own garden. It is still lovely, with long stems, ideal for flower arranging, which my mother loved, and is late-flowering. Only now is it opening in the garden. My husband picked a few buds recently and they opened indoors, hence I have posted a photo that was taken a couple of days ago.
