HVH: "'Jewel of the Nile's' fascinating flower is a surprise result of crossing 'The Color Purple' with 'Creme de la Creme'. The 6-8" flower is perfectly formed, with heavy texture and attractive ruffling and tufting. The main body of the flower contains varying shades of pink and white that surround a distinct lavender ring (the jewel!) around a wine-colored eye.

The bush is staunchly upright, with no tendency toward floppiness, and grows slowly to about 3 feet in height. Supply is very limited due to the stately growth habit, but this variety will make a great addition to any hibiscus collection. Released for sale in 2010."
