    I had some serious concerns about what appeared to be a non-arrival of a 'Lowana' stem (in comparison with the growth of most of the other 'Harlequin' type hybrids, which mostly were already 6 inches tall). In readying the pot for emptying, I noted a stem travelling from one side to the other (roughly 9 inches across the pot) 6 inches under the soil. After I quickly re-covered the stem with fresh soil, 1 week later, it has now nosed through. Phew!!
